The Gilbert Plains Municipality is accepting applications for 2 Public Works Labourer positions.
• Full-Time (70 Hours) • Part-Time (20 Hours) position.
These are unionized positions that will form part of a team that is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all assets belonging to the Municipality.
Main Responsibilities: Performing duties that are primarily related to the Waste Disposal Site and Public Works labourer duties as required. Qualifications: • Ability to operate and maintain grounds keeping equipment • Valid Class 5 driver’s license • Must be physically capable of performing labor intensive jobs • Grade 12 or GED12 preferred however comparable academic qualifications will be considered • Work independently and as part of a team • Must be able to work weekends and/or evenings when required • Experience or training in the operations of Waste Disposal Sites will be considered an asset • Must be willing to take the Basic Landfill Operating Course
